Healthier Pizza Margherita

For now on most of my recipes will be low calorie and healthy. There of course will be a few not so healthy things on here :) I am trying to change my eating habits not just for a diet but for myself in general to be healthier this year. With that said most people think healthy food eww gross. I used to think that until i got used to eating it thanks to my husband who got me started. This recipe is pretty fantastic and i had 2 slices of pizza at 578  calories not too shabby :)

Dough- Whole Wheat and Honey Pizza Dough

Ingredients:
1 (.25 oz) package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 tsp salt
1 tbs honey

Directions:

preheat oven to 350 degrees. In small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes. In a large bowl combine flour, wheat germ and salt. Make a well in the middle and add honey and yeast mixtures. Stir well to combine Cover and set in a warm place to rise for a few min. Roll dough on a floured pizza pan and poke a few holes in it with a fork. Bake in preheated oven 5 to 10 min. Continue the steps below

Ingredients Toppings:

Minched Garlic
Onion Flakes
1 large tomato
Mozarella cheese
Parmesan Cheese

Fresh basil
Extra virgin olive oil
oregano

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 400. Remove the baked pizza dough from pizza pan. Lightly grease the the pan with olive oil. Put pizza dough back on the tray and press in the minced garlic throughout. That way the garlic will cook into the dough. Lay down a base layer of onion flakes, parmesan cheese, and oregano. Slice the tomato and mozzarella thinly and put on top of pizza. You do not have to have every inch of your pizza covered just enought to get a bite of everything :) Garnish the top with the fresh basil (note because i live in the middle on nowhere its hard to find fresh anything so we had no fresh basil on ours) Add a flower from the basil to the center to make it look pretty

Cook 15-20 min. Drizzle some olive oil on the finished product :)
